Belfast based singer, songwriter & producer, Tanaka X who’s previously known for his impact in the urban Belfast music scene, since opening for former JLS member Aston Merrygold in 2018. His debut single 'Let Me Know" is a unique blend of dark alternative R&B infused with contemporary Afro Beat drums, harmonically synced with Tanaka’s honey-glazed vocals as he addresses his past experiences, ultimately reminiscing about an ex-lover and questioning the nature of their relationship.

On the creative process, Tanaka commented “Creating this track was one of those spontaneous moments where it happened so quickly it felt like the song wrote itself. From the second I heard the sample that’s prominent throughout the track I was instantly inspired and the rest was history.”

Johnson Tanaka Furusa, professionally known as Tanaka X, is a 22-year-old local Belfast based rapper, singer, songwriter and producer. His musical journey began in the early stages of his life when Johnson discovered his gift of songwriting. After being crowned the winner of Ni Stars Talent Competition in 2015 and Nashville Young Singer Songwriter’s in 2017, he decided to launch his musical career.
