The Catch Up

๐Ÿ™ŒThe Catch Up ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Just Scrolling Through the Gram casually (as you do) ๐Ÿ˜‚ I came across a post of Sean in which he explained it as "feeling like a dream" after receiving Smedia Award For Radio DJ of the year.

Sidenote (Big Congratulations By the way on the award from everyone here at Lab Tv! Great Work ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ)

From there I saw how dedicated he is to his craft and anybody who puts in the amount of work as this person does automatically gets my total respect. Apart from that he plays the dopest music from all over Ireland, always has the hottest shizz poppin ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

So we had a catch up & just had a chat about variety of topics related to Hip Hop/future of the Cork/Irish Rap Scene/Self Improvement etc etc. Its so easy to click with someone who shares the same passions as you in life & Im sure many of you would say the same if you ever meet him!

Hence The title "The Catch Up"

After having a lengthy chat with Sean, and from what he told me I've decided to look more into his Bio so let me introduce you to the Man Himself....

Sean Ryan is a proud Cork man. He is currently enjoying his time as Radio Presenter on the student radio station โ€œJuice Corkโ€. I defienetly recommend checking him out ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

He has contributed greatly to the station including his work as social media manager. He launched Juice Corks very own Instagram page and presents weekly on โ€œThe Boostโ€ alongside his co-host Dave Sheehan.

One of Seanโ€™s main goals was to bring a larger target audience to the station, this proved itself by the avid following by them on social media. Another achievement is the design and implementation of the now recognized Juice Cork Hoodies.

Sean has appeared on such media outlet as โ€œThe Reckless Podcast" hosted by Cormac Wall. He is inspired by presenters such as Stevie G on Red FM as well as KC & Ross on 96FM. For as long as Sean can remember, he has had an interest in radio, even from his introduction into the industry during his transition year work experience, working on UCC Campus Radio 98.3FM. This was the spark that has lead him to study radio in College and has brought him to where he is now.

Sean also host a show called Uncovering The Irish Rap Scene on Cork City Community Radio 100.5fm on Friday nights between 6-7 o clock. He plays music from artists from all over the country including Cork, Limerick, Dublin and even Antrim.

His Goals In the future he said is

"to continue to grow as a person as well as being more involved in the rap scene in Ireland"
